Harlie’s Angels Adopt A Family Project
Adopt A Family Project
We began adopting families for the Christmas season immediately the first year after the accident.
In 2013, we worked together with the “Kringle” group of volunteers in Castle Rock. We were able to help 10 families receive gifts and food for Christmas.
In 2014, we again worked along side the same group of volunteers and we were able to help 12 families.
When 2015 rolled around, Harlie’s Angels mission began to grow on different levels and so we went out on our own and serviced 4 families along with starting other mission work.
2016 and 2017, we got partners from Gloria dei church and Emmanuel Lutheran church and we were able to help 5 families each year. 2017 we changed our focus to families with teens as well.
They seem to be the forgotten age group when it comes to helping. We have lots of helpers who shop, wrap and organize this event. It is an amazing opportunity to be blessed to be a part of.
In 2016, we were able to adopt 4 families in need during the Christmas season. Each family received bags of groceries for a Christmas dinner along with presents for the children.
COMFORT BAGS
Over 400 comfort bags were made and delivered to the Department of Social Services since 2013.
HOMELESS PROJECTS
The beginning of December each year, we assemble 50 warm weather/hygiene bags and pass them out at the Community Meal offered at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longview, WA
ADOPT-A-FAMILY
Each year we are able to adopt several families in need during the Christmas season. Our focus is centered around middle and high school teens. Each family received bags of groceries for a Christmas dinner along with presents.
